This piece was a real labour of love and kept evolving into more and more of a special piece with every detail added. One of my favourite things I have ever made!!
The front features a punch needle toad that is made using almost entirely vintage and second hand yarn in so many different fibres and colours, so much texture. The back was hand sewn using some vintage velvet fabric sourced from a charity shop and hand finished and embellished with some gold fabric stars, gold beads, an embroidered label, gold bells and little vintage pearlescent buttons. The stuffing on the inside was also sourced secondhand and whilst it gives the piece a ‘squishy’ and cushioned feel it is still a delicate art piece and should be treated with care!!
This piece measures approx 33cm by 25cm. The velvet ribbon adds an additional 12cm.
